Visit
In 2023, we commissioned the Container Barn, an events and education space, production venue, and operations hub for our farm. With this infrastructure, we now offer more ways to visit the farm and learn about local food systems.
-
We host educational and community-based events that highlight local and sustainable food systems and inspire attendees connect with where their food comes from. We frequently collaborate with featured farmers, chefs, artists, and educators to share their wisdom and expertise.
See our events calendar here.
-
We offer field trip programming in the spring and the fall. Our field trips typically last between 2 and 3 hours, and are geared toward middle and high school aged students. We also host programming for college-level courses. Learn more and inquire about scheduling here.
-
We rely on volunteers to keep the farm going! Whether you’re an individual looking for farm experience, or a group seeking a team building experience, we are happy to welcome your services.
Join us in learning best practices for growing food and flowers while providing food to the food- and nutrition-insecure members of our community.

YOUTH EDUCATION PROGRAMS
We aim to inspire and educate the next generation to become conscious stewards of the land, active participants in creating a more sustainable and just food system, and advocates for environmental justice. We do this through experiential, place-based learning that connects human well-being to ecological health. Our programs include field trips, internships, and collaborative research projects.
CLIMATE-SMART DESIGN
Our Container Barn was designed and built to be a model of emerging technology in sustainable building systems, energy-efficient systems, and environmentally friendly building practices and materials.
The Container Barn is central to our on-site programming, including hosting volunteers and school groups, tours, workshops, and events. The building also houses a demonstration kitchen, office and meeting space, storage space for farm operations, and a greenhouse.
