FIELD TRIP FAQs
How many students can you accommodate for a field trip?
We require a minimum of six students and a maximum of 30 students for a full field trip experience (which includes a tour and a workshop). For larger groups, please inquire. We may be able to accommodate with an amended itinerary.
What does it cost to have a field trip?
We are dedicated to creating accessible learning experiences. For public school classes, there is no fee for field trips. For all others, including home school groups, we have a sliding scale donation (made to our non-profit partner) of $0-10 per student.
How long is a field trip?
Our standard field trip programs run between 2 and 3 hours based on age and itinerary.
What happens in bad weather?
Our main gathering areas are under cover, so we are able to proceed with programming in rainy conditions. That said, our spaces are more exposed to the elements than most, so in cases of severe weather, we will err on the side of caution and reschedule.
Are there any requirements?
All attendees (including chaperones) must sign a liability waiver prior to the start of the field trip. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign.
What should we wear?
Closed-toed shoes are required for visiting the farm. We suggest that visitors wear comfortable clothing that can get soiled. Since we spend most of our time outside, we recommend checking the weather forecast and dressing appropriately, including hats and sunglasses.
