Walk-In Cooler

We custom fabricated a walk-in cooler, since none of the prefabricated ones we found would meet our needs and design.

• 9-inch thick walls that are spray foamed, giving an insulation value of R60 (the industry standard for walk-in coolers is R25). 

• Insulated slab underneath floor and a thermally broken partition at the egress to keep the cool slab from touching the non insulated slabs outside. 

• Powered by Cool Bot Pro - made up of two 12,000 BTU window unit air conditioners that are coupled with the Cool Bot system - two modules that trick the AC to run at 38-40°, and uses about one-tenth of the power that a conventional 3-phase compressor would use. 

This container is used for cold storage for recently harvested produce and cut flowers.
